1. Cookies and local storage explained
Cookies are small values a website can ask your browser to retain and return with later requests. LocalStorage is a separate browser feature that keeps values for a particular website origin without automatically attaching them to every network request. Both can be relevant to privacy rules governing information stored on your device.
This static build does not set HTTP cookies. It uses one localStorage entry to remember your privacy preferences. We use the familiar phrase “cookie preferences” for the control because it covers optional storage and similar technologies as well as traditional cookies. This notice describes the supplied page code, not unverified behaviour of a future hosting provider.
2. Storage inventory
The table distinguishes the storage actually used from optional categories that are present only as preference controls. There are no active analytics or functional cookies to list by individual name.
| Category | Name / provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | spg-cookie-consent-v1First-party localStorage | Stores choice, optional-category flags, version and save time. No visitor ID. | Until replaced or cleared; no automatic expiry. |
| Analytics | None installed | No audience measurement, session recording or attribution service. | Not applicable |
| Functional | None installed | No optional remembered layouts, embedded media or personalised tools. | Not applicable |
3. What the three choices do
“Accept All” records that both optional categories are allowed, but loads nothing additional because no such services are included. “Reject Non-Essential” records both optional categories as disabled. Either choice dismisses the banner and is remembered across pages and reloads on the same origin when browser storage is available.
“Preferences” opens a dialog where you can set the two optional flags individually. Essential preference storage cannot be switched off within that dialog because it is what remembers the selection. You can nevertheless remove or block it through browser settings. No guide or contact information is withheld when you reject optional categories.
4. Changing or withdrawing a choice
Use “Cookie preferences” in any footer to update your decision at any time. Saving replaces the earlier local record. Choices are specific to a browser profile and website origin; another device, a private window or a different domain variant may require its own selection. Clearing site data causes the initial banner to return.
If storage is blocked, the controls still operate for the current page, but a choice may not survive navigation or reload. A storage error is explained in the preference dialog. Optional tools remain inactive regardless. The current build does not synchronise preferences with a server or associate them with an email address.
5. Browser controls and opt-out instructions
In Chrome or Edge, open Settings, search for “site data” or “cookies,” locate this domain and delete its stored data. In Firefox, use Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data. In Safari on macOS, use Settings, Privacy, then Manage Website Data. On mobile devices, look for the browser’s privacy or website-data settings; menu wording can change between versions.
Deleting cookies alone may not remove localStorage in every tool, so select website or site data as well. Blocking all site storage can affect unrelated websites’ sign-in and preference features. Private browsing generally limits persistence but does not make network activity anonymous. Browser tracking controls are useful additional safeguards, not a replacement for understanding individual services.
6. External services and future changes
The illustrations and map are inline SVG, and the stylesheet and script are local. No embedded provider receives a request merely because you view them. External links load only when followed. An actual hosting configuration must be checked for additional cookies before publication; any new optional processor should be disclosed and gated by appropriate consent before activation.
For wider data rights and controller limitations, read the privacy policy. Cookie or privacy questions can be addressed to [email protected], the designated but unverified privacy contact for this illustrative publishing identity.
